What is uploading?
Uploading is the processing of adding images from your computer onto a server on the internet. This is usually done
by browsing your harddrive for a file and then clicking 'Upload'.
Must I register?
It is not necessary that you register to use this site. The image hosting sites that this directory
links all have different setups. Some require you to register, some don't, and some have an optional registration
service which will allow you to retrieve the codes for your uploaded images at any time or delete them whenever you wish to.
What files types are accepted?
File types allowed vary from host to host, but for the most part the accepted image types are gif, jpg, jpeg, png and bmp. Sometimes tiff files are accepted as well, but not very often.
What is the maximum file size?
The maximum file size allowed varies from host to host. Some free image hosting sites will allow as large as 10MB per image, whereas some others have a maxium file size of 50KB.
What is a megabyte?
One megabyte is equal to 1024 kilobytes. One kilobyte is equal to 1024 bytes. MB is the abbreviation of megabyte, and KB is the abbreviation for kilobyte.
